We have recently purchased equipment to perform Von Frey testing of touch sensitivity. This equipment can be used in your facility if you have an ARC approved protocol to use it. We are in the process of getting approval for use in our own laboratory and hope to make it available there soon.

The equipment includes:

• A Von Frey TouchTest Sensory Evaluator set from Exacta containing 20 filaments ranging from 0.008 grams of force to 300 grams of force (manual test)
• An elevated stand with a grid floor (the floor is removable and can be switched out to meet your needs). There is a clear enclosure that goes on top of the stand which can be subdivided to hold 4 mice or 2 rats.
